Let’s shift the energy together 🙏 and find some relief from the stress and anxiety of last week’s turmoil. The recent winter storm cast its spell on many. Across Texas, millions went without power and left many unable to heat their homes, cook meals, work remotely or even sleep.

Our kids, who live in Austin, Texas have been stressed out and fed up with the power outage and no water scenario for over a week, we talked about how to make it through the tough times.

THREE WAYS TO FEEL MORE CALM & GROUNDED

MINDFULNESS, GRATITUDE & STRONG

1. The practice of MINDFULNESS. To be MINDFUL of where you place your ATTENTION, as “where your attention goes, your energy flows”. It seems like such a simple practice, but can prove to be very challenging when you are in the midst of a stressful situation. Keep your attention in the present moment and on the task at hand.⠀

2. The art of GRATITUDE. To be thankful for what you do have in your life at the moment.

3. This GROUNDING technique is an easy and accessible way to shift your energy. Imagine for a moment that you are a big beautiful tree. Feel the base of your body, from your navel down, as the roots of an enormous tree. Imagine your roots are sinking into the earth and spreading out far and wide. The earth’s gravity is pulling you in and grounding you. Now imagine the upper part of your body, from your navel up, is open and flexible like the branches and leaves of a tree. Because your roots are so deep and grounded YOU are able to withstand the storm’s force.

AFFIRM: ⠀I am safe. I am healthy. I am supported.⠀
