CREATE SACRED SPACE INSIDE AND OUT

To practice real magic is the art of bringing gifts from

ANOTHER WORLD into this one.

How do we connect to a space that is beyond? How do we create an enchanted feeling-- a sense of something greater and deeper than what we can see in the physical. How do we create a home that serves as this sacred space CONNECTION TO OUR SOUL? We begin from the inside out.

Last week I spoke to a savvy group of engaging and intelligent women at the Mommie Series in Houston. I talked about SACRED SPACE.

I led an interactive experience— a guided relaxation/ visualization to find our “coming home” feeling in our own bodies and also the center of our physical home. They learned how to “clear space” on an energetic level, inside first and then radiating out.

BREATHE IN AND OUT

BREATHE IN AND OUT

Finding the center is finding the center of YOU. In this grounded place, take a nice long DEEP BREATHE IN AND OUT. Feel your breath enter your body, watch it fill you up from the very base of your lungs all the way up to the top of your shoulders. Breathing out, release—all unwanted air, thoughts, emotions that are your past. Let go of anything that doesn’t serve you. It is now released through your breath.

Next, we tapped into the power of our subconscious mind through free-flow writing. In this QUIET STILL SPACE we journaled about a favorite spot in our home. Once they had this space in mind they wrote about how to create a feeling of sacredness in this special place at home.

one of my favorite parts

of any talk is listening to the audience’s comments and suggestions. They always provide fabulous material. Here are a few comments:

ENTERING MY HOME

“I enter my home through my garage, and realized through my journaling that I really need to work on that space. I plan to clear the garage of un-needed things and add some flower pots at the entry and maybe even a fountain as I pull in.”

OUTDOOR SPACE

“ I realized that my husband I used to enjoy our outdoor patio, but haven’t used it in quite a while because our cushions are covered in pollen and the deck needs to be cleaned. I am going to clean my outdoor space so we can once again enjoy the space.”

MEDITATION SPACE

“ I want to create a sacred space for my meditation practice. Add things such as a flower, a candle and some incense, maybe a photo or an intention— all things that bring me a sense of sacred.”

PEOPLE AROUND ME

“ In my sacred space I visualized more people around me. I want to invite more people into my home and sit around the dinner table having stimulating, interesting conversations.”

A few final thoughts… For me, to create sacred space, is all about REMOVING what get’s in the way of APPRECIATING THE ABUNDANCE that is already there.
