Journal Prompts for Full Moon, Solar Eclipse and Spring Equinox

Today is a full moon.

Spring Equinox, Full Moon and a Lunar Eclipse— what does this beautiful spring time hold?

As many of you know I love to follow the moon cycles. In my daily journal I record where the moon is in it’s monthly rotation. When I follow the cycles I can be more aware of a new Moon (begin again), waxing Moon (building energies), full Moon (surf the wave) or waning Moon (revision energies) and also to be more compassionate with myself and others during high intensity lunar periods, such as a full Moon or eclipses.

Watching the Olympics and Being Inspired

We’ve been watching the Olympic Winter Games. For me, they seem to bring the world a little closer. To see different country’s topography, customs— and how the incredible true grit of the athletes brings them to the top of their game and represent their countries.

As well as the sports I find the personal stories equally inspirational, like the USA Olympic cross country skier, Jessie Diggins who inspired many as she shared her struggles of a teenage eating disorder.

My Soul Space

Often times it’s fun to share your truewellbeing. The soul space of you. The part of you that makes you special, that’s always there even if you don’t acknowledge it or believe it. I am going to share with you, and I hope that you will share some of ‘your truewellbeing’ in the comments too.

I am a 59 year old woman— mom to three (now all grown up) children, a wife, a dog and horse lover who is happiest when I am with my family, a horse and in nature.

Join me in finding sacredness, begin to weave the thread of joy, and the divine will pull the thread. Here is my latest offering. Language of the Soul 52 Affirmations to Guide You

HARNESS THE POWER OF A HORSE: CHANNELS OF COMMUNICATION

Our cowboy, Jodie, assigned you a horse for the day. You spent time getting to know your horse; brushing, petting and caring for this 1600 lb animal gave you the gift of trust and connection. Entering the arena with your horse, your attention became focused on what the horse did. Whether a mare or gelding, it mirrored what you were projecting on it.

SOUL SPACE EQUINE RETREAT: A HORSE'S STATE OF MIND

n preparation for our recent retreat, I pulled from a large stack of journals. The entry I found happened to be from 2012, a reflection from my 50th year. I opened to a page about one of the most memorable times I could recall during my fifty years of living. Eleven through sixteen years of age. I wrote that during this time I felt a deep connection to nature and a horse. The combination of the two allowed me to feel genuine happiness and freedom.

Who's That Girl? part 1

I want to give readers a chance to get to know me. To feel as if we were sitting together outside on my patio with a cup of tea, talking about our lives. It is these kinds of conversations that let us get a deeper understanding of one another, of what makes us who we are. I want to show you what I do and why I love it.

An Abundance Mantra: Give, Give Give

During one of our past retreats in Mexico we invited a shaman to lead us in a ceremony. He called it the Abundance Circle. He invited us to stand in a circle and visualize something in our life that we felt we had so much of, that we had plenty left to share with others. Then once we had the feeling of that particular feeling bubbling up in us so much that it was over-flowing, we shared it around the circle with others.

I remember some of the gifts that were passed around: joy, love, contentment— we even had one woman who felt she was over-flowing with sexual energy— and so she passed that feeling around!

Top 5 Retreat Questions Answered

What to Expect?

Following are answers to some of the most common questions…
What is the weather like in June in Santa Fe?
Beautiful. The average temperature hovers around 79 degrees F for a high and dips into the low 60’s at night. Perfect weather to sleep with your windows open. June is a dry month, so rain is rare and humidity is low. We’d recommend packing light, casual and bring layers.

DISCOVER THE PILLARS OF HEALTH

I consider myself a generally healthy and happy person. I eat well, exercise, meditate, sleep and feel supported by my relationships. I also suffer with chronic eczema. This skin rash can present itself as a small irritation, or can escalate into a raw, heat-inflamed, intensely uncomfortable whole body rash.
