Clear Mental Clutter

Wow. What a meca of mom bloggers! Over the past few days I enjoyed my first-ever social media conference here in Houston. Mom’s came in from all over the United State. All kinds of passions, all kinds of people, with one thing in common. Social Media. Mom2Summit

Clearing the Mental Clutter

My panel discussion talked about Clearing the Clutter and my topic specifically was how to clear your mental clutter . Do you feel overwhelmed with day-to-day living? Too many tasks and not enough time? Would you like to feel joyful, have more energy and clarity? Everyday?

If you weren’t sitting in on my panel. Here are my best tips:

1. Live in the Present Moment. Practice focusing your attention on the here and now. What you are doing at this very moment. It’s as simple as allowing myself to feel my fingers tapping on my keyboard, enjoying the scent of my freshly brewed coffee and feeling a sense of joy in writing about what I love.

2. Set your Intention. Decide what is important to you in your life. Make a list and focus on these things everyday. Soon enough things begin to shift, and people, things, commitments begin to re-organize all on their own! You will find yourself spending more time doing the things that matter to you and spending more time with people you truly enjoy.

3. Dedicate your Energy. Once you make the decision about what is important to you. Dedicate your energy every day to focusing on these things.

This practice is incredibly simple. Not always easy. But, I promise if you take the time to allow these ideas to filter into your life– it is worth every ounce of your attention.

Let me hear your comments. Your ideas and suggestions may be the perfect answer for another.
